Gifts from the Kitchen: Hot Buttered Cider
There's nothing like a warm drink on a cold day to warm you from the inside out. Today I'm sharing a yummy drink that is easy to make...Hot Buttered Cider (or Rum) Mix.
This makes about 10 cups of concentrated mix so it makes enough to give away! It would be a great gift for neighbors, teachers and co-workers.

DIY Gifts for Kids
Christmas is just around the corner and we always try to do some sort of personal, homemade gifts for our kids. And now that our kids are getting a little older, they love getting in on the action too!
Last year, Sweet Pea made her brother Homemade Gak and it was, hands down, his favorite gift. It provided hours of fun!

Mug Swap 2014
Every year, A Cuppa Kim hosts a mug swap...sorta like secret Santa, but in August.
With mugs.
And other goodies.
This year, I was gifted Maui Passion tea (yum!), a beautiful mug...
She made the spoon and sells them in her shop. She has a beautiful blog and an even more beautiful
heart, which she pours out on her blog.
The mug swap is such a fun way to meet people. You get to give and receive. It's pretty awesome.
Looking forward to next year!

Citrus Vanilla Sugar Scrub {with printable}
For Christmas, my niece gave me this scrub and it is amazing!
I loved it so much that I needed to get the recipe so I could make more. She gave me the recipe from here.
While it is edible, I highly recommend it as a hand scrub ;) I don't know about you, but this time of year my hands are dry and cracked. This scrub is so nourishing and moisturizing.
The recipe is super easy and only has a few ingredients.
Citrus Vanilla Sugar Scrub
From Saved by Grace
Makes 5 half pints or 10 quarter pints
5 c. granulated sugar
1 c. coconut oil, melted
2 lemons, zested and juiced
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. orange extract
Mix all ingredients together. Spoon it into jars. Add double-sided label {printable here}. I used this punch.

I think this is the best type of gift to give and get!
