I've been wanting to try glass etching for a while and after finding this pretty little jar at Goodwill, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to give it a try. And it was really easy with instant gratification results...my kind of project :)
I started with my glass jar and some adhesive stencils
and etching creme
I placed the stencil over the glass and painted a thick layer of the creme over it
I waited about a minute or two, then wiped off the creme with a damp washcloth. And the end result...
It was really easy. Now, I'm on the lookout for more things to etch :)
Looks awesome! I think it would be fun to etch wine glasses with different numbers on it - that way people can just know their number rather than use a wine charm! I saw something like it I think on pottery barn? Anyway, nice work lady! Looks great!
